Elements
As in 2D calculations,
in order to determine the value of the thermal bridge, it is
necessary to identify the elements which represent the structure of
the component: in
tab you can handle elements, which in 3D can be of two kinds:
linear:
simple
lines along which a linear thermal bridge exists; you must set Ψ
value in order to obtain correct results;
areas:
represent
areas through which heat is dispersed according to their
transmittance. They are like section elements of 2D simulations and
in 3D they simply have an additional dimension.
Please recall that χ value, characteristic of the 3D thermal bridge, is the result of L3D (flow / temperature difference between the internal and external environments) to which contributions of the various elements are subtracted. Correct elements' configuration is therefore essential.
