LABEL TOOL
Accessible
by
button on the toolbar, this powerful tool lets you add lots of
information to your projects; it provides a wide series of label
types to be used to communicate or underline aspects of simulated
object. Here you are a list of label types with their options:
Fixed label: a label which position is locked on the screen
Text anim.: if active, text can be set for every view;
Text: the text displayed by the label;
Horizontal align: ho text will be aligned;
Show only if text is not: will be hidden if text is equal to this field;
Name: name shown in labels' list;
Layer: the index of the layer containing the label;
Font: kind of font used by the label;
Scale: controls how label will be resized;
Foreground color: text color;
Background: label will have a background if checked;
Background color: background color;
Background image: the image used ad background for the label;
Grid: if active, text will be displayed ad a grid. To split text in rows and columns you just have to start a new line to define a row and use "\t" ad column separator. For example, the following text:
A\tB
C\tD
will generate the next table:
A |
B |
C |
D |
Padding: distance, in pixels, between label's border and content;
Border: label will have a border if checked;
Border color: border color;
Anchor top: if active, label's top border will stay put in case of resizing;
Show in view interpolation: if active, label will be shown while switching between views;
Screen position anim.: if active, position can be specified for every view;
Screen position: position on the screen (both x and y coordinates have a valid range from 0 to 1). You can simply drag it on the screen, but only when 3D view is disabled.
Label: identical to Fixed label exept that its position is 3D and relative to the project, not the screen
Report: if active, labels will be displayed in report views;
Auto size: if active, size will be automatically adapted to label's content;
Size: label's size, ignored when auto size is active.
Directed label: identical to Label but with an additional vertex, used to point something
Point position anim.: if active, point position can be specified for every view;
Point position: point position, relative to the project.
Dimension label: same as Label but with two additional points, used to represent a dimension
First point position anim.: if active, first point position can be specified for every view;
First point position: position of first point;
Second point position anim.: if active, second point position can be specified for every view;
Second point position: position of second point;
Orthogonal distance: orthogonal distance of label from dimension line;
Decimal figures: number of decimal figures used;
Unit: unit used to compute dimension.
Sample label: same as Directed label but label's text contains a sample value
Auto height: height of the label will be automatically detected;
Sample type: the type of sample to display;
Decimal figures: number of decimal figures used;
Display λ: if active and in case of material sampling, also conductivity will be shown.
Layers list
This list will be automatically filled by the software, depending on layer index used by labels. When a layer is selected on the list (it is by default), every label with this layer index is shown; when a layer is not selected on the list, its labels are hidden. Layers' selection is recorded by views; see views documentation for more information.
